North America Manufacturing Day

At the UNITED GRINDING North America Manufacturing Day event in Miamisburg, OH, students will be able to see up-close and in-person the inner workings of a high-end manufacturing operation that produces some of the most precise and high-tech manufacturing equipment in the world. Students will hear from Application Engineers, Shop Floor Managers, Service and Rebuild Technicians, even high level company executives! Students will learn about operations management, real-world applications of Lean Six Sigma and the five s methodology, and will get a glimpse into how some of the world's most precise parts are engineered and manufactured. On their guided tour, students will be able to engage with each presenter as they journey through our facility while learning about all of the different functions that help ensure our company is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible while ensuring we are fulfilling our mission - to help make our customers more successful.

Dress code requires closed-toed shoes and long pants (no shorts please). Safety glasses and wireless receiving devices will be distributed to each tour group to ensure everyone can hear presenters at each station on the guided tour. The tour should last between 30 - 40 minutes, and each student, educator, and bus driver will be given a "goodie bag" upon the completion of the tour.
