Automation specialists enjoy precision work on electronics. They produce individual electrical assemblies for our cylindrical grinding machines. They install the prepared assemblies onto the produced machines and put them into service.

Automation Installers

Automation Installers produce individual electrical assemblies for our cylindrical grinding machines. They install the prepared assemblies onto the produced machines and work with a certified specialist to put them into service.

Property Management Specialist

Property management specialists maintain and clean buildings and outdoor property. They monitor a building's technological systems, carry out repairs, keep green spaces healthy, service machines and ensure that waste disposal is handled professionally.

Information Technology Specialists

IT specialists with a focus on systems engineering are responsible for the establishment and maintenance of computer systems. They select appropriate hardware and software for their contracting entities. They then install PC workstations, printers and servers.

Administrative clerks

Administrative clerks experience all aspects of life at STUDER: Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, Financial and Accounting and Marketing. They buy components for cylindrical grinding machines, create quotes, confirm machine orders and handle the shipping formalities.

Design engineers

Design engineers draft parts for cylindrical grinding machines such as drives, clamping devices, sheet metal paneling, etc. They draw and measure the individual parts produced by the multi-skilled mechanic. Precision work on paper is part of their everyday life.

Logistics specialist

Logistics specialists work with goods that must be sent, delivered, transported, stored and installed. Their daily routine includes work on the computer, the operation of various installation and transport equipment and the unloading and loading of goods.

Multi-skilled mechanic

Multi-skilled mechanics must have a strong sense of spatial relations and the ability to spot logical connections quickly. They produce the individual workpieces for our cylindrical grinding machines and assemble the (typically) metallic parts into complete machines.

Graduation Projects/Internships

We offer support for final projects in the fields of mechanical engineering, design and business administration.


A term or final degree project can be undertaken by students during or at the end of their studies. Depending on the rules for the given course of study, this normally takes between 3 and 6 months.


We will propose general topics for final degree projects and consult with you on the details to ensure that you and your preferences are taken into account. An employee of the relevant technical department will be assigned to support you during your entire period working on the final degree project.

Application and selection process

If you are interested in conducting your term or final degree project at STUDER, please send us an unsolicited application. We would ask you to apply 3 to 6 months in advance. When you write, please provide the following information:

  • the date you would like to start
  • the time required for your term/final degree project
  • the area in which you would like to work, or the major themes you are interested in

Please also attach an overview showing what your university's requirements for term or final degree projects. Your application will be forwarded to the responsible divisional head. If selected, you will be invited to a meeting where a theme for your work will be suggested. If the meeting goes satisfactorily, you will receive a contract to conduct the term paper or final degree project.
