Intro
STUDER has been writing grinding history since 1912. STUDER has developed from a small enterprise into an internationally active company. Fritz Studer AG owes its position in the market to the experience gained from building more than 25,000 systems. Its former pioneering spirit is also reflected in its present-day products, and is impressively demonstrated by the quality and quantity of its innovations. Since 1994 STUDER has been part of UNITED GRINDING Group.

- STUDER expands machine portfolio with CNC Universal internal cylindrical grinding machine S100 (2022)
- STUDER develops the new productive cylindrical grinding machine S36 (2022)
- UNITED GRINDING Group Launches C.O.R.E. — Customer-Oriented REvolution (2021)
- The universal external grinding machines S31 and S33 with four center distances (400 mm (15.7"), 600 mm (25.6"), 1000 mm (40") and 1600 mm (63") are introduced to the market. (2019)
- STUDER extends its product portfolio and introduces the new favorit series of machines to the market (2018)

- STUDER develops the WireDress® integrated dressing technology for dressing metal-bonded grinding wheels (2014)
- The S141 internal cylindrical grinding machine for short and extra-long workpieces is introduced to the market (2014)
- The UNITED GRINDING Group's new machine design is presented at EMO 2013 in Hannover (2013)
- KÖRBER SCHLEIFRING and United Grinding Technologies USA become the UNITED GRINDING Group (2013)
- STUDER introduces the world's smallest production machine, the S11 (2013)

- Introduction of the brand new S41 CNC universal cylindrical grinding machine (2011)
- STUDER and Combitec combine their expertise and create the new center of excellence for internal grinding in Biel with the CT product line (2008)
- STUDER introduces the S12 production grinding machine (2004/2005), the S242 combination machining center (2005/2006) and the S22 production platform (2008) to the market.
- New, standardized corporate design for the entire Schleifring Group (2004)

- STUDER introduces the S33 universal cylindrical grinding machine to the market (2003)

- STUDER develops the world's 1st CNC cylindrical grinding machine (1977)
- STUDER develops the mineral casting Granitan® S103 (patented) for the machine base, which now forms the basis of all STUDER cylindrical grinding machines (1976)
- Diesel injection needle grinding with fast load- / unloading EA300 (1971)

- Hydrodynamic spindle bearings on all machines allow a level of precision never acheived before, e.g. on the RHU 450 (1965)
