Course descriptions
Why can't I achieve the specified surface quality? What can I do to improve my roundness on the workpiece? Why can't I achieve the required cylindricity? These are all questions that arise in the daily work of a grinder, and they are discussed and answered in this course StuderWIN Expert “The Art of Grinding.” This course is for anyone who wants to look behind the scenes. Become a grinding pro by learning to understand the bigger picture.
In grinding, there are dozens of control variables that have to be specifically influenced to steer the grinding result in the desired direction. On the first day, everything revolves around dressing. Whether stationary or rotating, there is something for everyone. Experience the applications and possibilities of the various dressing tools. In a joint practical workshop you will learn how workpiece surface quality and grinding wheel topography can be specifically influenced using rotary dressing. Get to know the various dressing tools and understand their applications. On the second day everything revolves around grinding parameters. Qs, Q'w, qd, Ud, ... never heard of them? Then it's time to experience these dry formulas live on a STUDER cylindrical grinding machine. We specifically influence the various control variables and are amazed at their influence on the grinding result.
