With the integrated W and R axes, adjustment to different workpiece lengths and measuring positions is fully automated. While the W-axis automatically positions the tailstock (and optionally the measuring head), the R-axis ensures the precise, programmed movement of the in-process measuring head along the workpiece.

The result: A single measuring head covers multiple diameters and grinding positions, setup times are eliminated, and processes become reproducible and reliable.
